TheoryY has a couple of beliefs that shape the approach that is taken to leadership and organizational development:

• Humans are able and willing to do meaningful work

• Intrinsic motivation is the only motivation that is sustainable and authentic

• People can only truly achieve lasting positive impact if they are authentic in their way towards achieving this

• People have the ability to be true, lifelong learners, and the learnings later in life might require more perseverance than earlier in life

• A well-lived life is a life in which choices are made consciously and with intention

• Science is extremely helpful, especially if scientific insights from different fields are combined. 

• Spirituality is a belief in phenomena that are not yet explained and understood by our current 'science'

• Transformation is a process that starts with the individual and is then extended to the outside world 

• Nation Culture does not define people that much, it is their mindset that defines and therefore differentiates them
